Jennings School

Mayberry Township, IL

Jennings School was located west of Norris City on the Dale-Norris City blacktop. About one acre of land was purchased from Elijah and Sarah Jennings on May 19th, 1877 for the sum of $40. The school closed in 1949 and was consolidated with the Norris City School District. Teachers included Roey Edwards, Robert Harlow, Robert Johann, Doris Mills, Doris Millspaugh, Edwin Niksch, Sarah Spence, Wakeford Thomas, and Bailey Williams.
